Terms of service
Last updated: 18 September 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
The service at dontapply.ai is operated by [COMPANY NAME], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms on behalf of the organisation you represent ("you").
2. The service
We provide software that renders interview questions as images, displays decoy questions alongside them, and gives an interviewer a private control view. We provide a catalogue of question templates as a starting point. You decide which questions to ask and how to evaluate the answers.
3. What we do not promise
We do not promise that any image design is unreadable by any particular system, now or in future. Vision models improve, and a design that resists one today may not resist the next. We test daily and publish the results, including unfavourable ones, on our readiness page. We do not promise that a candidate cannot circumvent the product by retyping a question, photographing a screen, or any other means.
Nothing in the service is evidence of misconduct. A decoy answer or a repeated canary word is a signal for you to investigate, not a finding. Hiring decisions are yours alone, and you are responsible for them.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree that you will:
- use the service only for interviews you are authorised to conduct;
- comply with employment, equality and data protection law wherever your candidates are;
- not enter personal data about candidates beyond a reference label, and not use the notes fields to record anything you would not put in writing to the candidate;
- keep your sign-in address secure and not share accounts between people;
- not attempt to enumerate, extract, scrape or reverse engineer the image designs, and not use the service to build a competing catalogue.
5. Plans, payment and quota
Plans are monthly and are billed in advance through Stripe. Each plan includes a number of interviews per calendar month, counted in UTC. An interview counts once, when it is first presented in live mode. Ending a live interview within five minutes of presenting it removes the count. Rehearsals never count. Unused interviews do not carry over.
When you reach your quota, presenting is blocked until you upgrade or the month rolls over. You may change plan or cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. We do not give refunds for partial months except where the law requires it.
6. Your content
Questions you write remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to store and render them for you. We do not use your questions to train anything, and we never send them to a third-party model, including in our own readiness testing, which uses synthetic questions.
7. Design allocation
Your account is allocated three image designs. We may retire a design at any time, including when our testing shows a model can read it or when interviewers report it as hard to read. If we retire one of yours, we allocate a replacement at no cost. You have no right to a particular design.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not offer a service level agreement. We may change or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces what you are paying for, we will tell you and you may cancel.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including hiring outcomes, lost opportunities or reputational harm. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, particularly clause 4. On termination we delete your data on the schedule in the privacy notice.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We will tell account admins before a material change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION].
13. Contact
