Does the candidate have to install anything?

No. Candidates don't need to install anything or do anything differently. You either share your screen or send them a link, and we take care of the rest.

What is the difference between the two interview types?

With AI Blackout & Obfuscation, you send the candidate a link and the questions are protected on their screen as well as yours. Obfuscation only protects the questions you show on your own shared screen. Both use our patent-pending rendering technology.

What is Obfuscation?

We develop and maintain OCR and AI Vision resistant techniques to slow down AI reading software - Enough for an interviewer to notice something is off.

Will it work in Zoom, Teams, and Meet?

Yes. dontapplyai runs in your web browser, so it works with any video call app that lets you share your screen, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Webex.

Can I use my own interview questions?

Yes. You can upload your own questions or start with ours, organize them by role and share them with your team.

Will dontapplyai catch every candidate who uses AI?

No tool can promise that. dontapplyai slows AI tools down and makes them much less useful during an interview. That gives you more chances to notice the signs, such as long pauses or answers that don't quite fit the question, so you can ask a few follow-up questions.

Is this fair to candidates?

It only changes one thing: a passive AI can't quietly read the question for them or it makes it quite difficult for them - Enough time for the interviewer to notice a potential issue. It levels the playing field for everyone who prepares the old-fashioned way.

In our experience companies have preferred to hire candidates that are honest about what they do and don't know. It's time to ditch cheating and candidates that are happy to use these tools to gain an unfair advantage over other honest candidates.
